Privacy Policy
Your data privacy matters to us. This policy outlines how GeniusDevs collects, uses, and protects your personal information across all our services and products.
1. Introduction
GeniusDevs ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website (geniusdevs.com), use our digital products, or engage our custom software engineering services.
Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the site or use our products.
2. Information We Collect
Personal Identification Information: Name, email address, phone number, company name, billing address, and payment information when you make a purchase or request our services.
Technical Data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, time zone, referring URLs, pages viewed, and interaction patterns collected through cookies and analytics tools.
Communications: Records of correspondence when you contact us via email, WhatsApp, Telegram, or our contact form, including project briefs and technical specifications.
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our website, products, and services, including session duration, click paths, and feature usage patterns.
Device Information: Hardware model, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information when accessing our services from mobile devices.
3. How We Use Your Information
Service Delivery: To process transactions, deliver digital products, provide technical support, and fulfill custom software development engagements.
Communication: To respond to your inquiries, provide account and order notifications, and share relevant technical updates about our products.
Product Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, debug issues, optimize performance, and develop new features for our digital software products.
Security & Compliance: To detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other security threats. To comply with applicable legal obligations and contractual requirements.
Marketing (with consent): To send newsletters, product updates, and promotional materials about our engineering services and digital products. You may opt out at any time.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
Payment Processors (Digital Products): We do not use a card processor or Merchant of Record. Digital product purchases made directly on geniusdevs.com are settled via NOWPayments (automated crypto checkout) for international customers, or bKash for customers in Bangladesh, or a manual crypto transfer. In each manual case you provide your transaction reference directly to our team for verification.
Cryptocurrency Payments (Digital Products): Where cryptocurrency is offered at checkout, a purchase may be settled that way. If you use NOWPayments (automated), that processor receives the transaction data needed to confirm your payment under its own privacy policy. If you send funds directly to an address we provide, we record the transaction reference and amount to confirm and support your order. We do not build a profile of your wider wallet activity.
Payment Channels (Custom Services): Custom software engineering services are paid for via direct bank transfer or Payoneer. You provide the relevant transfer reference directly to our team, who manually verify and confirm receipt. GeniusDevs sells software and engineering services only and does not operate any exchange, trading, investment, or money-transmission service.
Country Detection for Payment Eligibility: At checkout, we look up your IP address to estimate your country, solely to determine whether cryptocurrency payment can be offered to you (it is not offered to customers detected in Bangladesh, per local regulation) and to route Bangladesh customers to bKash. This lookup is not used for any other profiling purpose.
We do not store complete payment card numbers, bank account credentials, Payoneer login details, bKash PINs, or wallet private keys.
Hosting & Infrastructure: Our services are hosted on cloud infrastructure providers (including AWS). Server logs and performance data may be processed by these providers.
Analytics Services: We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand website usage. These services may collect anonymized usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
Third-Party Marketplaces (Envato): If you purchase our products through CodeCanyon/Envato, Envato collects and processes your personal data according to Envato's Privacy Policy (envato.com/privacy). We only receive the limited data necessary to verify your purchase and provide support.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Storage & Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption, access controls, and regular security audits to protect your personal information.
Data is stored on secure servers with restricted access. We regularly review our information collection, storage, and processing practices to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Retention: We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Order, license, invoicing, and tax records are retained for up to 7 years to meet accounting and legal obligations. Support correspondence is retained for up to 3 years. Marketing contact data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Website analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. Backups are cycled out on a rolling schedule of up to 90 days.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
